EOS 5D Mark IV C-Log upgrade now available

First reported back in April, Canon has now opened up the new Canon Log (C-Log) upgrade service for the EOS 5D Mark IV. With the upgrade, C-Log – a staple feature in Canon’s Cinema EOS range – can be added to the EOS 5D Mark IV, providing enhanced dynamic range and easier colour grading.

The Canon Log upgrade will be available as a chargeable service exclusively via Canon authorised service-centres. The upgrade service is available within Europe from 28 June 2017 and within the US it's scheduled to be available through authorised Canon Factory Service Centres in July 2017. We advise that you check your local Canon website for service information in your area.

New firmware update for EOS 7D Mark II

Canon removed firmware version 1.1.1 after a communication error was discovered (see item posted on 19 May 2017). The company has now resolved the issue and released firmware update version 1.1.2. This incorporates the following changes:
•  Corrects the phenomenon in which remote shooting with the Camera Connect App is not possible after connecting the EOS 7D Mark II to a smartphone via the Wi-Fi Adapter W-E1.

This phenomenon only occurs when the firmware was updated from Version 1.0.5 or earlier to Version 1.1.1. There is no need to update the firmware if the firmware was updated from Version 1.1.0 to Version 1.1.1, or if the EOS 7D Mark II was equipped with Firmware Version 1.1.1 at the time of purchase.
