Canon launches biggest ever Pan-EMEA campaign

Canon has launched a new marketing campaign using the creative theme ‘Power to your next step’.

The campaign, the first from Canon to encompass all consumer and pro product categories, reflects Canon’s strategic commitment to becoming a lifetime imaging partner, coupled with the goal of empowering, educating and inspiring consumers to take their ‘next step’ in imaging.

Running across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) throughout the summer and beyond, the campaign television advert aired 213 times on UK television on 20 May 2013. The commercial will also be shown on video on demand services including 4OD, ITV Player and Sky On Demand.

In addition to the TV advert, a comprehensive print campaign will run in lifestyle and consumer tech media. The inspiring artwork used in the print executions was shot by two Canon ambassadors, Lorenzo Agius and David Noton.

More EOS firmware updates

Canon released a number of firmware updates in March 2024, as follows: EOS R3 – version 1.7.1 1. Enables servo zooming to be remotely controlled from EOS Utility or Camera Connect when Power Zoom Adapter PZ-E2/PZ-E2B is attached to a compatible lens. 2. Enables up to 2 TB to be used on CFexpress cards larger than 2 TB. 3. Fixes an issue that may cause the camera, in rare instances, to stop functioning when using GPS. 4. Firmware updates have been introduced for five Canon EOS cameras. EOS-1D X Mark III: firmware version 1.8.0 1. Adds the ability to register the focus position in the preset functions of the CR-A100 Camera Remote Application.
